Family

First of all we are a family. Hoteliers for 40 years.

Everything began with grandfather Fernando, entrepreneur, that built first Hotel Corallo in 1979 in Albinia and then Valle del Buttero in Capalbio in the 80’s.

The hotel officially opened in 1986, March 27th. A very important year for Riccardo that began this hospitality adventure and at the same time began father of Simona.

At the beginning we taught to name it “Hotel Capalbio” but later we decided for “Valle del Buttero”, more characteristic and related to the place.

Initially we were open all year long and hosted many Italians, small groups of Germans and also some hunters that were in Maremma Tuscany for winter hunts. It was the time of coloured depliants , bookings by phone and walk-in guests without reservation.

A few years passed and in 1995 Riccardo married Roberta; in 2000 became father for the second time: Giordano was born!

Today Riccardo and Roberta, with Simona and Giordano and a great team of guys, most of all from Capalbio, carry on the family hospitality tradition with passion and gratitude.

The good job is reflected in guests appreciation and new friendships born here during the time.
