Since 1986, Hotel Valle del Buttero has been a family-run business that welcomes its guests in the historic centre of Capalbio, one of the most picturesque villages in the Tuscan Maremma. We were born with the idea of offering authentic, simple but well-kept hospitality, where every guest can feel at home. Our location, just a few steps from the medieval walls and breathtaking views of the countryside, makes us the ideal starting point for exploring the area. But what really makes our hotel special are the people who live it every day, with passion and dedication.

The heart of hospitality: our team

Behind the scenes of Hotel Valle del Buttero there is a real close-knit team that works every day with discretion, warmth and professionalism to make our guests' experience unique and authentic. Every morning, Stefania gets up early to lovingly prepare the homemade cakes that perfume the hotel and make our breakfast buffet special. In the breakfast room, Sara, Maria Vittoria and Daniel, together with Stefania, welcome guests by presenting our breakfast, prepare cappuccinos and espressos, and make sure every detail is perfect to start the day off right. Benedetta, at the pool bar, with her unfailing smile, prepares fresh, light dishes, helping to make every relaxing moment even more enjoyable.
At reception, Roberta, Simona, Giordano, Giulia and Katia welcome new arrivals and pamper regular guests, who are part of the family for us. They are ready to recommend the best restaurants, the most authentic activities and excursions not to be missed in the Tuscan Maremma. To complete the welcome, in the evening, there is Massimo, our night porter, always ready to welcome those who return late with discretion and kindness. Every night he has a special task: he transforms the billiard table into the space that a few hours later will host the breakfast buffet.
In the silence of the early hours of the morning, while the guests are still asleep, our maintainers - Daniel, Luigi and Graziano - start the day by tidying up the garden and the pool, so that everything is perfect to welcome the first guests. Also crucial is the work of our housekeepers - Barbara, Emanuela, Maria, Maria Maddalena, Michela and Marta - who, with great care and attention, make every room cosy and impeccable.
Coordinating everything with competence and experience is Mr Riccardo, who has been the heart of the hotel management for forty years. With a watchful eye and constant presence, he supervises every department, guaranteeing order, quality and the welcoming spirit that distinguishes us. Flanked by Roberta, with her daily support, she contributes to the management of the business. Together with Simona and Giordano, they convey the family spirit that is the thread that binds all our work.
It is thanks to the silent and constant work of all these people that hospitality is transformed into an authentic experience.
