Capalbio summer 2025: events between culture, taste and tradition
Art enthusiasts will find numerous opportunities to be inspired. The Frantoio will host a series of contemporary exhibitions during the summer featuring Italian and international artists in a dialogue between modern art and the charm of the exhibition spaces. Lina Pallotta's “Get Closer If You Can” will be on view from June 21st to July 27th 2025. At Palazzo Collacchioni, the venue for cultural events and reviews, photographic exhibitions and literary meetings are scheduled to enrich the cultural offerings of the village, keeping alive the intellectual tradition that has made Capalbio famous. Not to be missed, ROCAS by Roberto Casamonti, Italy's leading gallery owner, from June 29th to August 6th 2025. In addition, the Capalbio Piazza Magenta International Prize, scheduled for August 29th 2025 in Piazza dei Pini, will recognize authors of works in non-fiction, history, politics, journalism and art.
Festivals, literary awards, folklore and cinema under the stars
There will be no shortage of moments dedicated to culture, music and folk traditions. First and foremost Capalbio Libri, the festival dedicated to reading, which takes place from July 28th to August 5th , 2025 in Piazza dei Pini in Capalbio and includes meetings with authors and readings. Folk festivals, such as “la Sagra del cinghiale”, this year in its 60th edition, will bring authentic flavors of Maremma cuisine to the square along with equestrian shows with the Maremma Cavalcanti Club. Live music will accompany many evenings transforming the various piazzas into open-air theaters. On August 22nd -23rd -24th , 2025 Palazzo Collacchioni will host Visioni Jazz, a must-see festival for fans of the genre. Then in September, from 25th to 28th , we close the summer season with the Capalbio Film Festival in Borgo Carige at the Cinema Tirreno.
