Events in Capalbio: Capalbio Libri, the summer festival of culture and author meetings
Capalbio, the enchanting medieval village overlooking the Tuscan Maremma, has been hosting an unmissable cultural event for several years now: Capalbio Libri. Launched in 2007, the festival quickly established itself as a reference point for reading lovers, attracting writers, journalists, intellectuals and the curious public from all over Italy every summer. The atmosphere of the village - with its picturesque views and the light air suspended between history and contemporaneity - creates a perfect context for enjoying author meetings, workshops, debates and presentations, in which the pleasure of reading becomes a moment of sharing and confrontation. For the 2025 edition, the programme can be viewed at www.capalbiolibri.it.

In addition to the author meetings in Piazza dei Pini, the beating heart of the festival, the village comes alive with open-air concerts, theatrical performances, and theme evenings. Strolling through the narrow streets of the village, being swept away by the light that falls over the sea and letting yourself be captivated by the words of the protagonists, makes for a truly unique experience. A summer of culture, sociability, reflection and inspiration, where reading becomes an opportunity to meet people, discover worlds and return home enriched.
For those who wish to experience the energy of Capalbio Libri 2025 up close, our hotel in the centre of Capalbio, a stone's throw from Piazza dei Pini, is the ideal accommodation. Here you will have the convenience of walking to all the festival events and enjoying the village even at sunset. And on the evening of Sunday 27th, we will be hosting the presentation of two new books at our hotel: an unmissable opportunity to listen to the authors in a cosy and intimate atmosphere.
